"I WANT TO BE" is a self initiated project that plays with the idea of the masks we use in everyday life. We gave it a fun twist and created paper bag masks from famous icons in history and popular culture, ranging from the band Kiss, Rolling Stones, Darth Vader and even Jesus. On the reverse side of each mask text was provided to illustrate our own views about the masks we wear, an amusing example was the Jesus mask which was designed with the text, “ I WANT TO BE ADORED”. A blank paper bag was also provided at various exhibitions for people to create and express their own daily masks.
